All footwells have blue neons, all courtesy lights are blue, door handles are blue, reading lights are white. Dash will later be blue and green.

I've got like 40 LED's + Resistors and Heatshrink tubing ready to deck out all the interior in Blue, plus a little UV/White for the dome lamp.
So I will be doing that soon enough...will post some piccies if it turns out alright...

I had my interior light, both fron footwell lights and the rear footwell light blue on my fairlane, and left the map lights white. The car looked cool at night. But then got bored with it and changed them back to white.

The interior light was a fuse type LED bulb, $19.95 for 2
the front footwells were 8 LED wedge globes $29.95 for 2 from motormate

and the rear footwell light was a blue coloured wedge globe $6.95 from CarToys

I still have the 2 front footwell lights and the rear footwell light somewhere.

Hehe, well I got the gear selector done, and one of the rear passenger courtesy lights. Looks pretty sweet.
I want to get it all done before I take any pics though....

Go the LEDs as the coloured condoms dont come out true to colour(blue looks green, red looks orange, etc)plus they do wear, split, melt, etc.

Every globe i could find copped a blue sleeve. Dash, map lights (front and rear), auto gear backlight, key barrel, ashtray. Didnt like my chances of soldering a resistor 5mm away from an LED....

Agreed they dont look *as* blue as LEDs but im really happy with the colour. Matches the new clock/odometer colour filter *perfectly*.

And for 2 bucks a pack....

Front footwells are illuminated with 300mm blue neons, rigged up to interior light switch. Will be doing the same for rear (cant have chrome cupped boost gauge and BOV without a neon or two, hehehe).

Hmmm, I'm now trying to figure out the best way to get some Blue LEDs in the dome/map lights.
If you file the end of the LEDs do they give a much wider angle without becoming significantly less bright?

I was going to put 2 Blue LEDs and 2 Superbright white LEDs in each map light - reckon this would go OK?
Or would I be better possibly keeping the standard globes in there, and adding a few blue LEDs with it?

I'm thinking for the dome light, (so that I can still bloody see) I should keep the stock globe in there (maybe sleeved), and add several blue LEDs - do you think that would come out crappy?

I don't want the colours to come out greeny or anything (tricky businees this LED modding lol)
