As long as it was done right there shouldnt be any rubbing/scratches. A couple of layers of clear coat is the trick, ive had my stereo surround/power window surrounds painted silver for a fair few months so far, and even the banging of the centre console coming down hasnt marked the paint[/quote]

"Over here"....

Very impressive dylan. The door trims in particular, looks really nice. Dash and console too. How to the a/b/c pillar covers look? Blend in with the theme or will they need coding too?

Heh, very similar to mine :)

For those of you who want a doco, you don't really need one!
Pull off the bits you want black and spray them with vinyl spray from supercheap. The hardest part is removing the dashboard, but most people don't spray all that.

As for it rubbing off, I did my doors over a year ago and with my arm constantly rubbing on the top of the door trim there's no sign of the paint coming off.

The blue dash mod looks good as always.
I think just doing odd things here and there like the glovebox and fuse box looks a bit out of place, but that might be just me...

The handbrake looks good but the trimming on the centre console looks chat! Why didn't you spray it like everything else ? I guess it's easily changed the way you've done it. I think the ford badge on the steering wheel is a little large. What about if you paint the ford logo ? Do it by hand - all blue then the raised bits in white ? I was going to do that on mine but decided to leave it all black.

Have you thought about mounting the TV under the ashtray (or leaning up against it? I don't know what the viewing angle would be like but it'd probably look alot neater there and less like a taxi :)

Looks tops dylan. The blue dash is rockin - i'd recommend doing the filter for the LCD screens in a similar colour.

Looks like you've done the power-window console in black as well?

Have you considered getting black carpets put in? Apologies, but im not a huge fan of dash mats....

A and B pillars are pretty easy to get out if you havent already sussed.... just pull the plastic trim off from around the roof lining and easy to get to... no idea on rear pillar.

TV looks good, pretty big!

Yeah I think I need to move the TV. Its starting to rattle a bit and to attack the dash I need to unscrew it. But its easy left there, so it might stay. Black carpet will get done, its probably going to be thru Tru fit Carpets.

Power window console is done, will get to doing the rest of it soon. Will check out the pillars this arvo.

I dont know how long you been here, but its a slow process in a grand plan to make it look goodm so thats why it looks a little odd now, but just keep an eye on this thread and watch it grow.

Yeah centre console is s**t, poor attempt at upholstery. Gotta take it off, might paint it.

Not too keen on painting the steering wheel (easier to use double sided tape), I am very heistant when removing the steering wheel.

TV is palced so I can see it and main other person is front passenger. I just need to clean the wires up.
