Thread title get your attention? Yes? Goood.
Anyway, lol, started my black (satin black) interior yesterday and here is what I have done so far. Markr154's thread really wanted me to get off my a** and get this started. O, and having climate control was a God send, wouldn't even try with the standard set up (painting it I mean). Future plan is to have ALL dark grew areas black, and the light grey areas in my secondary colour (have no decided on this yet). Won't be painting the wheel, I'll get an AU one later on. In time, my interior will have NO grey parts, at all. Question though, how do I do the dash? From what I say it's attached to the car, or very difficult looking to get out. Last picture is the gloss black paint job I have done on my grill insert (yeah exterior mod, didn't want to make a thread for just that). I did try to chrome my spare grill with chrome paint, lol. If I could be bothered I'd initiate a class action against any bastard that sells this stuff, false advertising bonanza. Though I guess I was silly to give it a try anyway, temptation was too much. Thoughts? I gotta say it's a more pleasant experience in the driver's seat. Very visually appealing, can't wait to get that dash satin black.

mate.....good on you for getting this done. I was pllanning on doing this to my car but i cbfed lol....well at least now i know how it will look like and since i already have a black momo steering wheel with black airbag cover im all set

iv had the same stuff done to my car for a few months now. hope you layed down a fair few coast on it all as i know my grill is being a little chipped now an i need to redo my dash dit too as its got a few scratches. i wanted to do that actual dash bit too, but i just dont have the energy to take the f**k out to do it
While i did the interior i also painted the vent surrounds on the outer sides of the dash in the colour of my car, and the little bar that goes accross the assenger side of the dash i also did in car colour after i remover the badge and fibre glassed over it |

Lol, I noticed scratching isn't hard to do, but I fixed them up. Whenever anyone gets in my car, I'll have to tell them to not touch or anything, lol.
I need to do the dash. The bit I've done is nice, but overshadowed once you change your glare a little to the left, top, right, lol. Yeah I put a good amount of layers on the grill, should be okay.

you can pul the dash off and spray it outside of the car can't you? just try not to scratch all the paint putting it back in...

What sort/brand of paint did you use? vinyl paint?

Good work. Suprisingly subtle, but definately makes a big difference.
The dash will come out. Prick of a job, but it'll come out.

or you could do something very brave and mask it all up and paint it in the car, just remove as much of the other plastics as possible.

Yeah I thought of the masking bit, but this s**t is potent. I wanted to get the VHT brand stuff, but autobarn were out. I'm using some Australian brand, seems to do the job. But the paint guys told me VHT is better, and that's what I thought too considering you guys always say that.

looks good mate.
maybe you could get a leather xr wheel. they're black, and it would save you painting your current one. sell me your grille surround damnit! mine is all chipped to buggery, yours looks mint!

Serious note now. I had the same idea. I was going to get a carpet and clean and dye it black to make a start for me.
and just for laughs you have the same air freshena as me
