Hey all! I have found the diagnostic display (EL mont) to be very helpful at some stages, but im wondering if there is any way to actually keep the display on all the time? What i mean is, i can bring up the display but say 10 minutes later all gauges die (needles drop to zero, warning lights come on) then comes back to normal including the odometer. Any way to keep the diagnostic display up all the time? It gets a bit annoying pushing the reset button, turning the key and counting to ten fifteen dozen times! :D

I have found that if that the longer you leave it flash FORD the longer it will stay. I had the same thing (the needles dropping etc) when I was running the digital sppedo and tacho. That was about 10mins. When I ran the battery voltage and engine temp it stayed on for a while.

My display wont even show the FORD elements, just a blank.

when my speedo was out
i used the digital speedo

the only way it would go away is if i turned off the car and turned back on
it stayed on... well never went off (unless car was off)

When you first enter diagnostic mode, if you leave it for a while it will start flashing ford.

You've been watchin the RPM/Speed readout i'm guessing?

I've found this to be the most demanding output display and causes the dash to hang up as described... i use instant fuel consumtpion, coolant temp and fuel level readout and have had these stay up for months at a time.
