Found out i have a leaking and rather wet boot...about 2 litres in the tyre well....anyways i checked the seals and they seem fine...but i have a cracked tail-light which might be the cullprit but not 100% sure so if anyone who has had a leaky boot could you give me some ideas of where else it could be coming from cheers.
p.s its a nc fairlane. thanks in advance.

dont have a spoiler do you? could be leaking through that.
your best bet is to fold down the backseats and clcimb in with a torch whilst a mate hoses the back of the car down. a high pressure hose should reveal the leak pretty quickly

Would do but there is a big tank full of gas in the back so that rules that out.
what i might do though is lock myself in the boot whilst me mate hoses the rear....

I used to get water coming through the seal along
the top of the boot garnish. Water would actually end up inside the garnish itself and sometimes into the boot, although not too much into the boot. I find now that with a regular spray of Nulon Ezy-Glide along the garnish seal, it tends to keep the water out. This silicone based stuff helps repel the water and stop the seal from overly drying out. Just spray it on and wipe over. Hope this is of some assistance. |
