hi all, i'm new here :)
bought my first car recently, and now im using this BLOODY BRILLIANT forum to satisfy the modbug lol

ive come across 'leather seat covers' on ebay, and i was after some comments or if anyone has ever put these in their car. They are made especially for your type of car, and go on over the original fabric. door trims etc can be made for you as well.

the seller claims a perfect fit and that installation is a breeze, but i am a bit skeptical!

thoughts?
thanks guys

taking the seats out of a ba is easy. youll need a torx bit -t50 if i recall- and a flat blade screwdriver
fist up remove all the plastic trims around the four corners of each front seat. undo the 4 torx bolts on each corner. disconnect the plugs under the seat near the door sill. lift out.

rear seat, push on the front of the bottom piece back towards the car. (best way ive found is stand with your back to the front seats and pust with your knees)it will pop up and out of its locator holes. free the seat belt bits and remove. lay down the seatbacks, and using a flat blade screwdriver, push the white plastic piece away from the steel part. (the white plastic has 2 pins which go through the steel part and body bracket locking it in) when the white plastic piece is far enough over, lift each side up and out.

i did see these guys on ebay and the pricing is similar but they go on in the place of the original upholstery... so you completely strip your seats and put the leather ones on much bigger job.
i think i will be going with the other mob in a few weeks time when ive got the $$$ haha

look good for seat covers, but am I the only one seeing creases where they shouldn't be?

Hi mate i got mine from the bloke you are looking at. I would recommend at least taking your front seat covers off and run the strings that come attached to your covers through your seat. If you dont they just end up looking really flat and it doesn't look that good. :D
