I had the fairmont digital dash in my ea and I converted the whole thing to blue and it looked brilliant...

Had to try a bunch of different LEDs to find the right ones... they had like 6 rectangular LED's in the T10 housing, but they were angled out to distribute the light... when I was done it lit up like a blue xmas tree..... digital readout and all...

I kept the LED's when I sold the car so they'll be going into my NL fairlane cluster I have here.

These were the type I used... only ones that looked good imho...
{DESCRIPTION} you might be able to find them cheaper if you look around.

LCD is hard to change colour in the EF/EL, but dead easy in the EA-ED.. just put the globes in... mine went blue with just the LED change.. EF/EL requires that you pull the orange filter out but if your LED's are bright enough, you don't need to with the EA-ED cluster.

Do the LEDs you've linked to on ebay work well behind the tacho and fuel gauges?

They were the brightest ones I could find... so I used them everywhere.. I just didn't turn on the parkers in the photo but it worked well.

Sorry mate.... I sold that car about 2 months ago... have an EL now and I've just done the same thing to it... The LEDs I showed you worked well in the EA cluster.. it was bright and vibrant... the first lot I tried were not.... I've since bought lots of others too. but the ones I mention above are the brightest.

I should add that after I took that photo,, I also converted the trip computer (another T10) and replaced all the climate control LEDS with blues as well.

That was more complicated as you have to solder about 10 LED's into the board.

Image

That worked out so well that I kept the climate control when I sold the car and put a standard one in.

Trust me, If you get the type of LED's I suggested, you won't be sorry... If you buy single LEDs (like the big ones in the photo above) you will be sorry as I had to take them out and put more of the ones in the link above in before it looked good.
