Yeah G'day all, look iv been looking for ages on here to find a doc on how i should go about installing my UV's/Neons in my front footwells in my EF Falcon GLi. I want the new lights to come on at the same time as the dome light on the roof does, so when the doors are open, doors un locked ect. See i cant find where the wiring point for this is, and do i just need to solder the wires onto the dome lights wires? Hooroo.

The doco's there: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=24 , tells you where to connect in a GLI + if you search the interior mods forum you'll find plenty threads there on this subject, e.g. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... rior+light .

Yeah Iv seen all of those pages before, they describe how to rig the light up to the center console but not the actual dome light which comes on when the doors are open ect. Like is it neccesary to run the neons wires under the roof lining or is there another access point to the dome wiring somewhere a bit more appropriate?

you dont hook the lights up to the domelight. read the doco. You link them up to the interior light circuit found in the console its so much easier than what you are saying your gunna do. If you hook it up to the console plug it will work the same time as the dome light does.

Run it off the circuit, noit the actual dome light itself. Go through the cigarette lighter in a GLi. Green and Yellow I think the wire is you want (well it is in my EF Futura)

I just hooked up the light to the center console, behind the durry lighter and the light DOESN'T turn on when the dome light does, it only works when the key in inserted and turned. Does this mean that iv gotta find the dome light wire and hook it up to there?

no it means you have it in the wrong connector slot. I did the same thing there is a green and yellow wire in a plug behind the lighter socket and a black and blue one. Link into that and it should work, this is what i used for my footwell lights and they work when the dome light is switched on or a door is opened also mine is a gli.
