I know that some of you will have your opinion as to whether you like a car's lights to be automatically on when the car is on (like is a feature on some commodores), but ...

When I bought my car there was an option (called the lights on feature) to have parklights/headlights automatically turn on when the car is running. At $150 (about), I decided that I didn't need it that badly, but have been thinking of now adding that feature myself (rather than having an autoelectrician do it).

Has anyone done this mod and/or have any constructive thoughts?

Because I haven't decided whether I like the idea of having the lights on all the time, if I do this mod I will include a switch to allow the feature to be switched off, or to apply to park or headlights only.

easy as. Run a switch from power, through a relay, and tap it straight into the signal wire of the lowbeam relay.

you can by a lighst on kit from coventrys for the falcs saw it today on cgl online... pity i dont have it here at home :(
not sure of teh price though
