hi
other than what has been said already you can take stuff out but you loose the comfort and luxury..

so i guess if you want a car with a better power to weight ratio maybe the falcon is not the car for you...

perhaps a v8 cortina or a escort with a coswerth engine..

no....but its going to cost you an arm and a leg...and maybe both kidneys and half a liver to get one of those parts made.....assuming the prices of kidneys and liver are at its lowest.

well i want to for street and track use. 100KG will get me about 0.2 less on the quarter. for a track car if i do suspension and the engine it should be good enough to have fun in i spose. im going to have a deeper think into the weight lose, because i know i can get carbon fibre body but it would be extremely expensive and a waste of good money that can be used for power.

thanks for the replies!

also im getting pictures of the car today. my mum is bringing her video camera so ill do a sound and video maybe aswell :P its a bit of a waste seeing as its stock but i want a before and after :P

Man loosing beef outta the car is cheap horsepower thats a good enough reason to take s**t out of the chunky falcon. I've taken bout 90kgs outta my ef mont without loosing any luxury. Everything unneccesary in the boot including the tar on the floor bout 4kgs, manual boot lock, cut off half headrest stalks (still work fine), rubbery sound deadener round trans, behind dash, carbon front seats, bumper supports(made up my own brackets) anything not needed under bonnet and behind door trims including rubber sound deadener molds. Thats only the start. Reckon 100kgs would be walk in the park without compromising comfort. The sound deadener removal didn't affect road noise at all but not all has been removed. If you don't really need it take it out. My car sits noticibly higher with the weight loss but am going to lower it so give a f**k. Helps speed and fuel econ it's worth a bash. 100kg is alot when you see it outta the car Peace out man.

just take off every bit of fabric from the drivers seat out backwards out.

alter your centre console, get rid of and sound deadening in the front.

yeh this is pretty sad. doing all these lil tiny things just to loose a few kilos. these cars and $200,000 drag cars built for dragging. there cruisers. if ya want a drag car, don't use a falcon. there still gona be just as heavy pretty much anyway. the percentage of weight you will actually loose will not be worth it.
