Does anyone know how to wire this up to a Futura?

The wiring is there already, all you need is the cluster that has the function (mid and High) and the water bottle that has the sensor.
There should be a plug sitting near the water bottle thats not connected. Cheers TW.

I thought that the Futura already had it wired up.
My EF futura had the washer bottle sensor there and wired up. My mate's ED Futura also has it there and wired up. Not too sure about the other models. You can find instructions near the bottom of this FM document: http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=14 Hope it helps.

Futuras (which I have) come with the low coolant sensor as stock. |

Got this from the link in the post below: Quote: If adding the Low Windscreen Washer Level Warning Lamp, a new Washer Bottle, with Level sensor, and an extra line will need to be added for the Warning to work. (Note All Clusters have the ability to display the Low Windscreen washer Level LCD Warning). then this from the same doco: Quote: The Warning lamp is integrated within the LCD Odometer panel, on the EF and EL Series Falcons, and surprisingly enough, it is actually available on all clusters. Quote: Unfortunately, if you have a GLi Model, without ABS, then you will not have the electrical connector, and wiring already available.
EF/EL Futura Models, and GLi Models with ABS fitted will have this connector already fitted, and wired up, so all that is needed is to add the Low Washer Fluid Switch, which is part of the Windscreen washer Bottle. So all I need accoridng to Matti, is the bottom wioth the sensor in it. Then I just need to run the appropriate wires back to my cluster, make sure a bulb is in and hey presto it works? |

I stand corrected, It never worked on my Low series cluster, it worked when I put in the High series one. After all I it appears I only needed the bulb to get it working on my Low series. Cheers TW

You don't need to add a bulb into a low series clusters to get your windscreen washer level warning to work, but a bulb is needed for the coolant level warning
The washer level warning is displayed in the oddometer section of the cluster. To check, put your cluster in diagnostics mode and move to mode 17 where all segments light up. You should then see a little warning symbol (washer bottle) to the top left of the oddometer section of the cluster. To get the washer level warning to work in a GLi, all you need is some wiring and a level sensor for your windscreen washer bottle. To get the coolant level warning to work in a GLi, all you need is some wiring, a sensor for you coolant bottle and a bulb for behind the dash. Not sure about the wiring in a futura. Hope to be doing both these mods to my GLi next weekend Cheers |

Ok finished wiring the sensor up tonight, f**k I hate working on the car in darkness.
Only issue with it is that I gotta fix the data line from my trip computer. Everytime I pull the cluster out I have to f**k around getting this wire back in. Any ideas on how to keep it in permantly? |
