Well I have been wondering this for a while (and I did a search on the site and couldn't find anything on it - maybe I'm just retarded) but I was thinking - is it possible to change the manual climate control unit (with all the annoying slider thingos) to a digital one in an EB? I was at pick-a-part today and I had a look behind them both and they seem to be completely different plugs. I'm not too soldier literate but if it's not too difficult (and if it's possible) how would I go about doing it?

Cheers guys,

Michael

Happy, you know what we need.

A massive search button on the front page. Not just size 12 text but a massive button like size 96. And fluro green so it stands out.,

throwing the word conversion in the search would have helped, and also limit the search to Interior Mods in the options below.

Searching for it throughout the entire site including suspension and forced inductions isn't going to make it much easier.

There are plenty of threads in interior mods on people who have done this full of information!

yeah....if u want to do a whole conversion...have fun....but if u plan on doing it though. i have a full conversion right here from CC unit to the stupid blend door motor (a whore to get out) and all the jazz in between.

though i word of warning....u have to pull basically everything out....whole dash. wiring, the part where the heater element sits and piping that goes into the cabin for the hot water to heat up the heater and all that....

it took me a while to pull apart mine in the EA when i was wrecking it...and thats with the engine bay half gone with more room to move.

anyways just thought id let u know

phong =P~

its easy as on EB/ED.

i converted an ED XR6 Wagon to climate control.

is yours an EB2? they already have the engine bay looms to support climate control all you do is add the sensors. one in the thermostat housing (coolant temp) and one in the front bumper (ambient)

you will need a complete dash including all looms from an EB2 (ED is different) and the complete heater box assembly. just get it all out of 1 car so it all matchs. dont forget the sunload sensor in the middle of the top plastic peice above the dash.

also make sure if yours is smartlock you get an eb2 smartlock dash as it will have the provision for it.

Alright, thanks for the replies guys, sorry, I didn't realise there were other threads on this - I'll have a better look next time but yeah, guess it's going to be more work than I can be bothered.
