Today I am picking up an AU XR MOMO wheel for my EL. I am just wondering will changing my steering wheel affect my insurance? I didnt think so but a friend said it would because it's not a standard option.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

i can't see how it would, plenty of people including myself, have put a momo wheel on. Wouldn't matter if it wasn't standard, what does matter is you hook up your airbag when you have replaced it!!

Most insurance companies will crack the s**t if you change your wheel for something that is a different diametre than the original, let alone the airbag.

Yeah a friend of mine changed the wheel on his VR to a smaller one the day before he wrote it off, he was really lucky to get a payout from his insurance company.
