Well friday morning it was, trying to find a lighter in my centre console on the way up the freeway at around 6:20am, so it was dark, i thought to myself, im putting a light in my centre console this arvo. So that i did.
And before anyone asks why i dont just turn the interior light on, it makes it a bit hard to see out the windscreen, bit to much reflection.

I used a map light lense out of the mid series dome lights, screwed that into the front wall of the console, then behind the console, under the cup holders screwed down 2 clips to hold the globe in place behind the lense, then rigged up a switch just in front of the console lid hinge, its a special type of switch, like the door light switches, when the switch pops up the circuit bridges, light turns on, when the switch gets pushed down, the light turns off. Lights up nicely

Anyway im stoked with my effort so heres some pics

Nice Idea you have there. i have too much crap in my console to make it worth while lol, plus my cd player and the little neon under my ash tray light up the whole cabin anyway :P

Why do some of the Berlinas/Calais/Statesmans/CapRICE have this feature, but not the Fords?
