Hi all,

A while back I purchased a leather-wrap steering wheel for my 03 BA Falcon as the standard rubber one was deteriorating.

I got Ultratune to swap it over for me but they told me the horn was stuck on once they did so they took the horn fuse out for the short term.

Now I know I need my horn for my car to be roadworthy and rather than have the local Ford dealer charge me an arm and a leg ($132 just to look at it) I was wondering if anybody could offer any advice. I had a read of a thread detailing removing the airbag (disconnect battery, leave for a while, be very careful) so I figure I should be able to handle that - I have a Torx T30 bit ready.

Being a genuine Ford wheel I didn't expect to have a fitting issue so I'm looking for any tips on overcoming this. For instance, where abouts on the wheel is the horn trigger located? Could it simply be the bolts are done up too tightly?

Any and all tips graciously accepted!

combination switches in the b series are notorious for failing, particularly if people are rough with them. Causing anything from a stuck horn, to non working lights.

Be warned the security screws on the bf airbags are not a normal 6 pointed Torx arrangement, it's a 5 pointed setup, not sure if this is the same on ba's.
