hey Ronin contact Applied Instrument Co in balcatta, ph 9240 6999. they will fix it if you, like correct the speed, if you dont put it back together properly. they fixed mine for $35. but its also easier if u take the dash out for them or they will charge u up to $160 to fix it.

C'mon Sierra get rid of the spanner on the dash.
Hold down the trip reset button for 15 seconds while the keys are in the on position.

Awesome looking dash and I love the steering wheel too. I've got one which I havent fitted to my EF XR6 yet.

The lights on the dash look tops. Best yet.

Hey Timmeh - Thanks for the kind words.

I was wondering if anyone would pick me up on the spanner thing ..... LOL
I know how to get rid of it .... I'm just leaving it there to remind me that I have to change my oil and filter .... Hopefully this weekend

So when are you fitting your Momo?? It's a treat to drive with that's for sure!

That looks really good, i want to do the same except i have an EF with the white needles. Do you know if i can maybe paint the back of my needle with that orange or would i need to source a 2nd hand cluster. also
when u put the needles back on the face, how do you line them up correctly so your speedo, tacho etc read correctly. is there an indent so they line up ?

RONIN,

Mine is an EF as well so I also had the white needles .... I guess I went the "expensive" option and bought an EL Fairmont Ghia cluster so I could have the orange needles that I knew would illuminate properly.
I've read that painting them doesn't always work successfully.

Yeah it's important to try and line up the needles as accurately as you can to how they were originally, there are no indents so it's trial and error and readjusting.
I just took a close up picture of my XR cluster, printed it out, then used that to compare when I fitted the orange needles back onto it.

Cheers,

Alan.

Exactly!
Once you dismantle the instrument cluster you simply replace the mask :)
