Means you didn't put the needle on right.

Either the wrong position, or on too hard so it's catching on the dial face.

Finished my dash cluster. There are almost zero templates for this DL cluster so I made it all my self. Scanned originals in, traced everything then customised the whole picture. Notice the smiley?

Nice work.

I notice the turtle too.

I've had scans of a NL (same as DL) for ages. Posted here previously.

I just saw them, I have only now caught up on this thread. I remember reading the thread when it first started, but have not been back to it for a while.

I also meant there were no completed design sets for download and print - but that's the cheats way. I already have plenty of photoshop experience, but it would be worth learning just to do this sort of stuff!

Anyway, I have a photoshop file of the NL/DL cluster that has all the text on a separate layer to the background - so if anyone wants it, just PM me.

Cheers.

Paper...........80gsm thickness seems to be a good medium between light transparency and picture quality

Does anyone know how to illuminate the needles on the ea/ed cluster? They can be real hard to see at night.... Also for the black out, do i need to knife out every little speedo line ? or do i just make those white?

The needles in the EA-ED cluster are solid and can not be illuminated like the EF/EL. There was a different thread dealing with the EA-ED clusters. They are very different in their construction and operation regarding they way they light up.

Yeah Cheers, I realise they different, was just hoping that with all these dial changes and ideas people were coming up with that someone might have discovered some amazing way to make the needles easier to see..
BenJ your red dash looks pretty cool, how does it look at night?
heres a couple of quick dials i made, still working on final product tho as couldnt get a decent scan of the extra dials...
