wats the best way to print them and wat sort of paper etc etc
thanks

I printed mine out on a colour laser at work onto gloss paper.... I also made it two layers thick and cut out the white areas on the behind version.. (so the light doesn't come though the background.. ) have to do that on lighter textured backgrounds...

Once I got it just right,, I took it to snap and for 5 bucks they laminated it.

good stuff.

frankieh, i think the start and end points on fairlane cluster gauges are on different angles to a sandard EF/L cluster.

really? thats is frustrating.. but I might still be able to do something with it.. even if it does just involve cutting out the lines and inserting where appropriate..

Car already has the fairlaine cluster.... don't suppose there was ever a fairlane cop car???? :-)

I pinched this off Frankie and added my own slight touch, hope ya don't mind!!

Put a tickford badge in there as seeing as the car is running a gearbox, intake and injectors from a Tickford XR8, and also has the tickford ECU, i think it warrants having the badge in there. Also you may notice something else in there. While i have had my cluster apart, i found some space to wire up an LED to act as a small "shift" light. Obviously useless as hell being that small, but would give it that unique look and i thought it quite cool. Not sure how i will make it work just yet, but i will sort the mounting out to start with etc.

I noticed a little earlier in this thread that someone had asked if anyone had made an AU template? I always liked the series II/II XR cluster blue background. I have a friend who is a wizz with photoshop and PSP. Any help would be appreciated. :D

guy on ebay uses a clear plastic base then uses transparent vinyl for the lines etc, finally he uses a vinyl plotter to cut out the mask from opaque vinyl and sticks it over the top. so if you know a sign writer they should be able to do it for you. might hit up my boss to cut me out some.
