if you adjust them right, they'll go up and down as per normal. mine have been replaced cause i did the front power window conversion too. they're quick too.

i use graphite powder every time.i used to use grease or spray lube but the liquid lubes end up like glue after a while and cause more problem than you started with.graphite powder is available at most locksmiths as they use it for locks too.dont use wd40 on your locks or you end up with grease stains on your clothes from your keys

Sounds like you need to put 2 washers on the other side between the reg and the inside of the door, sounds like when you said when you tighten them up it stuffs up sounds like its pulling the windows on an angle.

just lubing it up wont do it you gotta fix it mechanically....

open up the door and with the widow up loosen the bolts as stated earlier replace with a smaller guage bolt (thinner) add big washers and move the reg till in correct position and tighten remember to use lock nuts or you'll be repeating this process in a few weeks
