i'd be happy at the next NSW meet or cruise display how my dash mod turned out and to give out copies of the photoshop files on CD I used to create the dash mods. Files are TOO big to webhost or email. I'd ask 2 dollars so I can recover the cost of the CD & copying it.

if this is a good idea...

Not bright enough is the problem. You could of course replace them with higher wattage globes.

But LEDs are what all the cool people are doing, and if done right will never need changing.

whats the wattage of the standard globes?

Does anyone still have copies of Bug's original dials? I can't seem to access them via the links provided in the first post. I PM'ed Bug, but though I'd ask here as well too.

if you can use a soldering iron, head down to jaycar, pick up your preferred colour, 8,000 mcd for blue, 12,000 mcd for red 10,000mcd for white, or 16,000mcd for green, either of those, or larger will give you really bright glows, you can also try frosting the lense, and also dont forget the current limiting resistors. gl

I just spoke to my mate and it seems he's no longer stocking the 8mm ones so unfortunately I can't supply them anymore. I should have bought a whole heap of them! :(

I did a search on ebay and you can get these ones which are similar to what I was getting and should do the job fine.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/10pcs-x-8mm-Powe ... dZViewItem

Assuming no one bids furiously you should be able to get them for $20 delivered or $27 'buy it now' Then just source the appropriate resistors from your local d**k, jaycar etc
