Hey Guys im new at this site well not really i just like to c what mods people are making to thier cars and i thought that ive done enough now and that i should show people my ideas.
So heres an idea for mounting an AMP in a EF boot. For those who have questions here`s a few answered. 1) Replace all the spacing for the boot supports if putting a SUB in the boot 2) If you try to do it the way i did Use Decent screws and it will not come loose from vibration 3)If you have mounted it the way i did dont Slam the Boot from now on, i dont think the AMP will stay there for long. 4) With the AMP where mine is the Boot has extra Weight on ot now and will come down with a bang if wind picks up or if the boot is not up properly 5)Be careful when the pre drilling the Holes for the screws to hold the AMP in place once you pass the Supports its very easy to come out the top of your boot. I didnt do this but came close Thats all for now expect more in the future and any comments would be greatly appreciated

Something different. But I don't think I'm gunna be mounting an amp on my tailgate any time soon. That could look pretty snazzy with a big screen in the ccenter and another matching amp or something on the other side.

not to bad dude but u only have a small amp if u have a big amp like my KX600.1 or similar u would have to mount in on the back of the seats or the sub box.

Hmmm, worst place to mount your amp mate, the heat from the heatsinks is just going to rise back up into the amp instead of being dispersed into the air. I wouldn't give it long before it starts going into protection and even (knocks would) blows.

Yeah, you've chosen one of the worst places to mount an amp. They're a giant heat sink meant for dispersing heat from the top of the amp, being upside down it is going to defeat the purpose. Not to mention your boot will rattle screwing the internals of your amp further. |

Wouldn't the extra weight on the bootlid itself put too much stress on the boot strut mounting points. A friend of mine had his mounts snap from having an amp on it. but his was a big amp.
