Just wondering if anyone knows whether or not all e-series door lock barrels are the same?
I want to fit new locks to my NA fairlane and am a bit curious too see if ea or eb door locks/boot locks and igntion barrels will fit. The 30th anniversary EA's have the newer style keys (the round ones with 4 sides) whereas I have the standard old double sided keys. |

ive done the converson on an EA wagon, and it all went in fine.. only thing of concern was the clip that held the tailgate lock in was different so a bit of modification was required
to get the ignition to work u actually need to fit a whole new electronic lock assembly, not just a new barrel as the barrels are different.. wiring is the same tho.. |

Thanks for the reply
So to change the whole ignition assembly over... did you have to drill rivets out or does the whole lot just bolt in? The reason I ask is that I was once a member of the dark side (I had a VN Crumpledoor) and the ignition in that was held in by blind rivets. |
