EF/L dash wiring doesn't just plug into an EB, its not that simple.
Please elaborate on what your trying to acheive: - Complete dash including cluster into EB - Complete dash minus cluster into EB - Just the cluster into EB Answer this, and i'll post the appropriate link. I myself have a full interior out of an EF Mont in my EB, however i transferred the full loom aswell. Another member on here, BENJ, used a different method, by wiring the EF/L stuff into the EB loom. Note, you need to be running an EF/L computer and engine to have the cluster work. It needs feeds from the EF/L ecu to work. Andrew.

It is possible to fit the EF dash, but retain the EB cluster until you fit the EF/L ecu, and atleast bbm. Although you will still need to wire the EF dash's switches and s**t into the EB loom.
It depends on how far you want to go with it. If you want to fit the later engine/ecu and other electrics eventually, then its easier to buy a donor car, and swap everything including the loom as i did. If you only really want the nicer dash, then BENJ's method is for you. Have a read of these 2 links. This is my Build thread. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/my-ebii-transformer-head-combo-hopefully-in-2-weeks-t65363.html This is BENJ's build thread. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/benj-s-eb-budget-buildup-t65386.html The first thread is mine, and i did the full conversion, the second thread is Benj's, and he fitted all the stuff i did, except he did it bit by bit and retained the EB loom, and made looms to fit in between the EL gear, and the EB loom. All the info you could ever want is in there. Andrew.

It should be noted that both of these methods require plenty of research, and hours of work to complete successfully.
In PIMP_LTDs case he had a complete donor car, so could swap all the parts from his EF to the EB. In My case I custom built adapter looms, and modified the EB Fairmont harness to work with the EL buttons. It should be noted that the one adapter loom has at least 50 hours work, including research, prep work, soldering and testing. Another point to note is that PIMP_LTD and I both have quite a bit of experience modifying cars, so we have a very good idea of the sort of work involved. I would not recommend these sort of mods to any member that is just learning, however, if you are prepared to put in the time and effort, then go for it. Just be prepared for things to not always go smoothly. Cheers BenJ

This isn't a job for those with blonde moments. There is a lot in this job but if you're fair dinkum about it, post up further details about your car, whether it is 6cyl or V8, GLi or Fairmont, sedan or wagon etc. Plenty here will help if you need it.
