they do last longer, but you'll need a heap of LEDs to match the brightness of a 20cm neon/CCFL

Data_mine are you refering to a single Led or a tube of Led lights when you said that you will need a heap of them to match the brightness of a neon?
The leds are setup exactly the same as neons becasue they are enclosed in a tube. Wouldn't a 20cm led tube be brighter than a 20 cm neon?
