-Start from the inside and work outwards.
-Measure twice, Cut once!! -Make sure to get the carpet sitting in the right place to begin with, there should be very little if any air gap, between the underlay and the carpet. Also the carpet should sit nicely into the corners of the foot wells and also around any distinct humps/dips in the floorpan. You wiill need to trim around the shifter to get the front to sit in place. -DO NOT cut any off the out side edge until you are happy with how it fits,(I would leave this untill the front seats are back in, or at least the seat belts are bolted in place. Also be careful how much you cut off. You are better to have to cut more off than cut it too short the first time and stuff you carpets.(this also goes for around shifters and consoles) -If using a two piece carpet, fit the rear carpet first. -Using a small phillips head screwdiver or spike, locate the seatbelt bolt holes on the trans tunnel. Then do the same for the seat bolts and outer seatbelt holes. -Only cut the holes as big as they need to be to get the bolts through. -Put the bolts back in the holes after you have cut the holes, this will aid you in keeping the carpet in place while cutting the other holes. - Don't use a knife to cut the carpets, It's far too easy to slip, and damage your new carpets (or worse, Yourself) Instead use a sharp pair of scissors, garden secateurs ( or prunning shears) or even a pair of side cutters. Good luck with it , Hope this helps

No problem, btw I 've been trimming for about 15 years so the advice comes from experience.
P.S. I hope you have a nice big double garage with a heater.... It's bloody miserable weather.. Typical Melbourne

I just asked that question so that everyone knows where you are so that way if someone near you has the experience in doing it then they can come to you. I personally have never done anything like this before so I'm no help
