So there i was driving my car and my brother puts the window down, then it wont go up so bit by bit it starts going down when we were fiddling with it. drove home 30kms at night with the window stck down (bloody freezing). Dad and a mate pulled the door trim off ect to see if they could fix it they had no idea so booked it in and $420 later it was fixed. they said it needed a new regulator. it was so damn expensive. theres my story of what a s**t day i had.

God, I wish I could have said it was a breeze when I did mine!
But it certainly wasn't $420 hard! I payed $180 for my regulator, and that was in Echuca. Probably cost me bout $50 in stress and another $50 for the swear jar :P:D:D...

Mate - you got ripped off. Should cost you no more than $135 to do it yourself. Check this website for documents on any future problems you have with your car - this website will save you time and money - guaranteed. Best of all, when you purchase a new power window regulator, your old one is handed in for reconditioning, that way, your old one is not lying around at home.
