Hi all,
I am looking to fit an NL back seat into an EF sedan. Where do I modify the NL back seat so it will fit in the EF?

The easiest way is you need to drill another hole down a bit from the top one on the seat back brackets and use a large washer on the lower hole to hold the bottom solid, you will need to use your existing bolsters and swap over the material. Also there is some slight problems aligning the latch on the seats but no big deal. Alternatively you can swap all the material over to the old seat bases, its a PITA though.

Drilling holes requires engineers certificate. Its easier to swapp the fabric over.
Just take the fabric of the EF seat so you get an idea on how to do it, then do the same on the NL. Then just put the NL fabric on the EF brackets and put into your car. |

I agree with twirquirky. Its definately the easiest way to do it legally. thats what WE did when WE did mine with help from ARM79 and dcstraight.

worst case is you have to rectify it... not exactly a big deal.

from what i know the DL seats ive got have a totally different cushion design to normal falcon/fairmont seats... NL im not sure of
theres 2 things you can do if its the same problem i had... 1) if the design is different and it doesnt worry you if you dont use the NL seat just scrap the NL seat and get yours re done 2) if you want to use the NL design take the cushions and covers off the NL seats and put them on your metal seat bases for the back you will have to use your existing side bolsters which you will have to change to match your NL seat as well this way there is no drilling or making new brackets then again... do you still have your backseat to use?????
