they cut up your existing roof lining
i was able to get a sunroof for $100 but the main cost was getting it fitted - most places wanted between 800-1000 your not going to try and do that yourself?

The button was a 2-way button mounted on the roof bewteen the front sun visors.
The unit qould cost 2-2.2k installed these days in an EF/EL.

Best bet is a propper sunroof installer!
Dont goto panel shops like a mate of mine did (on cheaper pricing) as they turn out like sh!t. The install is something yiu would REALLY want done as well as possible as t will make or break the project/car!

maybe he means he couldn't re use it, because the sunroofs used in falcons are the same as used in fairlanes. If you get a new one, spend the extra dollars and get a full electric one. Pop up ones... well.. they just pop up |

yeah but do you know why ... plenty of people would say you can't transplant lots of things from one car to another but our tech doco's are testiment you can....

A while back I spoke to The Sunroof Centre here in Melbourne. He quoted me $1800 to install a new Electric Sunroof. The same unit as used by Ford. So if this guy is telling you he can't install a Fairlane one into a Falcon he doesn't know his s**t or just can't be bothered with it.
