has anyone any ideas how to make it quieter??? sounds like there is something rubbing against the fan?

could be a leaf ... put it on recycle and point the air towards the floor. Then turn the fan on full and then off and it should clean itself out. Might have to try a few times...

Pitty these dam fans are not accessable without removing the dash.
So if you cant clear it using the previosde mentioned methods and you can't put up with the noise, then the only alternative is not plesant and involves a large amount of work. Cheers. |

If you put it on Re-circ and look up in the passengers foot well, you can put your hand into the inside of the fan. I've done this to remove a leaf once, other than that, put it on re-circ and feet and it should blow out.

By accessable, i ment you are able to get to the fan for easy removal; for cleaning, repairing or replacing purposes. Many of my previous old cars had very accessable heater fans, some were so accessable they fell on your feet when you hit a bump Cheers |

Nah boys, I had this problem once and found it was a plastic cigarette wrapper that had sucked up into the re-circ box. Annoying as!! It was being slightly skimmed by the fan blades.

yeh, mines inhaled a leaf recently it "ticks" when i run the fan, it also changes pitch as i accelerate/decellerate, but its starting to go away now i was dreading that id have to remove it by myself.
