I have only found one photo of the before stage of cutting in a fairlane map/sunglass holder into the roof lining for a EF/EL. Once I can find the after shot I will post it up.
I had to line up the support base on the upper part of the lining and cut out some big holes in the board before gluing it to the board. the sunglass holder doesn't hold my type of glasses, so I am going to covert it to hold a rear view monitor or something like that in the future.

Thanks Mad , yeah my lining was in need of replacing the only hassle I had with it is board curves in at one point leaving a little gap between the plastic and material but I have stuck to the black roof lining so it blends in.

I might even cut it down and somehow stick a gps unit in it, but that's once I finish painting the car body |

sorry for the delay, been having issues with the net dropping out and staying out for weeks.
I was thinking of bending a bit of plastic or some sort of metal bracket around the corners of the gps to make it stay in the holder and somehow drill and wire up the ciggie lighter plug in the console. I don't know yet only planning it in my head with a million of other things I want to do to my car |
