Okay, here's the run down before i start pulling it all apart
NL fairlane, having the a/c on, or the fan going . works fine . but when you go around a corner, the fan slows right down, and almost stops blowing air . But when you straighten up, and go straight again, it goes back to speed again . anyone seen or had this problem before? ... Makes no difference if ithe climate control is on 'auto' or 'manual' any ideas peoples? cheers! |

I reckon you might have a dodgy fan speed controller, or a wire which has a small shorting when you are turning (unlikely though)!.
I have no idea why your power steering pump would have anything to do with the climate control fan speed?????? Is there any relation there at all? I would be looking at the fan speed controller first though. Also make sure that the fan power lead and connections to the fan speed controller are secure.

What happens if you take the corner really slowly? It's possibly a blocked evaporator drain hose, and the water level is almost up to the fan. When you take a corner hard the water keeps going in another direction.
The outlet is best visible under the car (in the expected spot) but you can also reach it through the engine bay if you know what you are looking for. Push a cable tie a cm into it and you should be rewarded with some liquid coming out. HTH. |
