i put a tripe comp in my 97 el ive got one wire left. i dont know where it goes its black with white stripe? any one help ?

Its the LCD dimmer control wire and is the same as the plain white wire in the clock loom - see the doc ;)

i looked on there? this wire was not there i even got the wireing diagrame from ford and it different

So you're saying there is no white wire in your existing clock plug? What colors do you have?

my EL didnt have the same colours as the doco when i pulled my hu out to put my other one in. had to make some intellectual decision to put the wires in the rite spot......my car is weird.

well bazz ur not the only one with weird wires around the place

but it tells you to cut the white wire off but where does the black /white wire go

Don't connect the white wire from the trip computer to anything - it isn't used in low/mid series.
Connect the Black/White from the trip computer to the white wire in the existing loom.
