hi people,

im wondering if yous can give me a idea on time required to do the following.

1. converting to fairmont dash wiring and auto climate control from futura dash wiring and standard aircon (Includes taking the fairmont dash wiring and heaterbox and climate control parts and planting them into the futura).

2. taking the trip computer out and planting it in the lower spec car with the fairmont dash wiring (Already put in to do the climate control).

3. Connverting to electric windows.

4. converting to fairmont interior.

is the smartlock module the same in all ed series or is it low bcm for gli, mid for futura/xr, high series for fairmont, fairmont ghia and fairlane.

and will the fairmont dash harness plug straight into the body harness to give the interior fairmont features including climate control, trip computer, interior light delay and a light under the glovebox.

i think if i can see a plug near the horns that has a red and yellow wire going to it would mean the car has a high series engine bay harness. is that correct.

is it only the dash harness i have to change to give all the fairmont features or is there other wiring harnesses like electric windows.

if the cars smartlock and abs does it also have electric windows harness tucked away.

does the futura have the harnesses for the climate control and trip computer and fairmont lights ticked away or do i have to do what i said and change to fairmont wiring.

the reason im asking is if i cant find a fairmont for about 2- 2.5 grand at the time i sell my dunnydore i may have to get a futura and change to fairmont options.

i look foward to replies

EDs are worth sweet FA, I can't give you any technical advice because I don't know much about ED wiring, but I can say you should have no problem picking up an ED Fairmont for $2.5k

it'll cost you almost as much for the parts as it will for the car...

and why change to fairmont options for??? the car won't go faster... spend it on the driveline!
