Hey guys i have been reading thoroughly on how to how paint the plastic on my dash and i would like to paint the cluster surround, t bar surround, stereo fascia and maybe above that they clock surrounds. I will just use some Metho (to clean surface) and some VHT "Plastics and Vinyl" paint available from Autobarn.

My car is the Everglade Green Colour and i was wondering what do you guys think the best colour to do these parts in would be? I was thinking a green but i am open to options. Also the Cluster lights or clock back light and t-bar lights have no been changed so they are still orange.

Here is my dash !

I have had some paint colour matched for my mirrors and am thinking if i have some left i will do my interior with this because i think it would look pretty wild having an Everglade Green dash !

What work will need to be done to the plastics to get them to stick? because i have some plastic primer and some clear top coat but would i need some sort of plastic adhesive to go in place of the primer ? Will a clear coat work on a dash? Im asking because it would look fair mint !

An everglade green dash will look like s**t.

Nothing looks worse than a tacky coloured painted dash, if your going to do it, go with grey/silver/black as these look the best.

Whoever mixed that was pretty hopeless mate. That looks way to light. I got 2 litres of everyglade mixed up and it was wayyyy darker than that. Each to their own personally I hate it Troymans looks awesome

im guessing you havent put the clear coats on, doing it this way (no clear) the paint will show the silver tinter up more in it, so will look lighter. although u dont really want full gloss on the interior.

personally i think its too much green now inside but i dont have to drive it ,and its not mine, so who cares.

good job mate as long as youre happy. thats all that counts hey.

Yea i have put the clear coats one about 2-4 Coats of it and i reckon it all turned out pretty nice ! Compared to the colour of the car it is obviously lighter but there are alot of variables that go into that

It's true..... Good taste does come with age!!!!

Still..... as long as you like it bro.... that's the important thing.

On the flip side of that, I now have another thing to point at and laugh!!!!
