I have a pair of JBL 6.5"'s in my Ef parcel shelf on spacers and I noticed that raising these speakers is strangling the bass. I also like the look of flush speakers so I was thinking half an inch extra on an already cut hole could not structurally f**k the car.... right? I know I have to get it engineered, but do most N.S.W mechanics care about 2 clean cut 6.5" holes in the parcel shelf instead of a 6" when doing a pink slip? How much would an engineer cost for the mod? Whats the number of the local bloke in the Penrith region?

I've seen people hack up the shelf to put 6x9's in, and they don't get a second look. Keep it clean and tidy and I cannot see you will have any issues.

Thought so, I would have to get someone on a bad day for them to deny a pinky on that. Thanks dc
