Ok so de soldered and re soldered the board successfully and man that was painful. Now the CC unit works fine, except I cannot seem to see the display. I can see it when I put it in some from the sun, but when the unit is put together with the Blue LED behind it, nothing displays!

Anyone got any trouble shooting pointers?

Cheers

Hey fellas is there anyone in Melbourne who is willing to do a complete color swap for me? I am happy to pay for parts and labour.

I have a EL fairmont ghia I wouldnt mind putting in the blue LED globes and while dials so it comes up better with lighting in the footwells also.

Thanks

I think mine was a t4 style. the best way is to measure the base as per the sales description towards the bottom of the ad

Anyone have any pics or info on how to pull apart the standard EF/EL aircon control panel and swap out the bulbs? I've done the 2 that are visible when you pull the face off but how do I go about the ones hiding behind the buttons...

Hey it comes down to the quality and shape of the LED you use, the flat top ones work best for light distribution :)
