hmmm.... i have two pointing outwards and the inner two pointing directly ahead, i have a blue filter (i C*** up a file and took the coating off for a plasticy sorta blue filter, its the same ringed files u store school or work stuff in, kinda hard to explain without seeing one).... i might try paper behind that aswell... but doesnt that make it a lot darker??? also, does it make it completely, or almost even across the whole screen?
*edit*: my 2 extra leds have been soldered to the positive and negative pins that connect to the plug, i know this doesnt make any difference, just thought i should state it anyway

Yeah Nicco i went the whole hog instead of being lazy and putting in blue led's.
i pulled my cluster apart and cut out blue filters and a little red bit for the tacho and i used white LED's so the needles would not be discoloured. I did a post up on it, when i fly home i'll find the pics for ya.

So the black bit is a mask ay? Can i just ask you, what paper did you print the mask on? and the template? Just normal white paper? or did you use something different for the mask?

Guys.
im doing an led dash conversion, and i wanted to know how many i need for the heater/aircon control unit. its not climate control, just the lowend control unit. also, what are the best leds to use. flat tops? frosted? |

people say flat tops are brighter but frosted spread the light more, my choice for that unit would be flat top, as i think there is only one light???

just get some bright 5,000mcd led lights with 20-25' viewing angle and sand the tops flat and sand the sides aswell (with very fine sand paper)
