Hey guys fairly new around here, I've looked around at a most of the blue led threads on here but couldn't find what i was after.
Basically i'm after somewhere in sydney that could supply and install the blue leds for the speedo, clock and aircon displays on an ef fairmont. A few years ago i would have been happy to do it myself but at the present i'm working two jobs and have barely any spare time especially forwork on my car. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers Pat

I'm sure someone on here would be willing to do it for a slab.
As for purchasing them take a look on Ebay, you'd be after 5mm size for EF/EL's. And they are plug and play, no soldering required.

Try something like this mate...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/10-x-T5-286-Blue ... dZViewItem Cheap and effective, you get 10 of them so that's enough for your cluster and other things as well, pretty sure the clock is the same size. Hope that helps. =]

No resistor needed. They are for 12volt and will have a diode fitted so that if you put them in and they don't work you just turn them around. (The diode is for reverse polarity protection so you won't damage them)

Would something like that do the trick neddy? I know i wouldn't need that many, I' ve never played around with leds so it's new to me Cheers, Pat Try These http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0168692347 I use these and I am very happy with them and as said in another post I also use other LED Globes by him in both T5 & T10. What are you wanting to do? Do you want to do the Blue display for your dash as well as the Trip Computer and Climate Control? These are quite easy as you replace the 6 dash T5 globes with the ones I have said in the Link. If you want to change the colour of the buttons on you climate control you need to use T10 globes and change the lower 2 globes. On the Trip computer you need to change the Right side T5 globe for the side display and the buttons. To change the Orange display on the Trip computer to blue you will need to pull the unit apart, comes apart quite easy, only 4 small torx screws, and replace the orange filter with a white peice of paper and the T5 globe with Blue LED. To replace the orange display on your Climate control you will need to dimantle the Climate control, some soldering involved, which is why I haven't done mine yet, and replace the orange filter with white paper and the top T10 globe with a Blue T10 LED. The odometer display again need to be fully dimantled and the orange filter replaced with white paper and the T5 globe reolaced with a Blue T5 LED. Hope this helps. Need more info just yell. Paul |
