start pulling more s**t off it. pics did not work either. Look for crud in places that there should not be. Could just be filthy.

Lift up the carpet and see what it looks like under there and take note of what it smells like...Flood damaged carpet smells horrible.

Hate to say it but I reckon its been wet.
I found heaps of that really fine silty dust in my 4x4 down low and its been wet many times.
The silt on the wiring loom etc is a sign to me that its had a drink.

Ok guys so pulled more panels off pulled lights out and its not good.. there is dirt snd silt on the top of the door rubbers. Looks like the whole car was under water.. what should I do? Get rid of it asap? Wouldnt be safe to drive? Did a vehicle history check and its been sitting at the dealers since feb 2012. Can't believe this. Got the ba for something reliable because my ef xr6 is over 30000kms and got alot that needs fixing, engine is already on its way out. The ba drives like a dream nice handling seems like a good car but id say give it a few months.. man can't believe how dodgy it is.

i doubt the whole car would have been under water, if it had there would have been so much that would need replacing it wouldnt be worth a resale..motor, gearbox, diff, all interior, electrics...

look at some of the electrical plugs and check for corosion ect..
look for a water line..
whats the floor like under the carpet?
look inside the a piller behind the kick panels to see if there is mud,
whats it look like in the boot area?

if there is dirt as high as the door rubbers it could have just been in alot of dusty rds?

Checked everything mate. Found out today all the dealers cars went for a swim. The whole place flooded. The boots clean until you pull the carpet from under the speakers. Theres mud in the interior lights. The whole interior is just way to new anyways. Didnt see a water lins I reckon the whole thing has gone under. Yup mud behind the pillars. Floor is dirty as. No corroded plugs.. yet. Isnt good. Runs so good you wouldnt think its beem thru water.

i'd have a chat to consumer affairs, as if it had been under water it should have been deemed a writeoff (i think so anyway.)
http://www.racq.com.au/motoring/cars/ca ... yers_alert
http://www.news.com.au/money/cost-of-li ... 6307917277
i dont know if you can do anything about it tho.

if the dealer knew it went under water than he knew it was a writeoff and should have claimed insurance. if you can prove that he knew or had the car when it was flooded you may have a case with consumer affairs

thats not good, if the dealer knew it had been under water imo he shouldnt be selling it ..unless you got it for uber cheap,,
i would be first telling the dealer that your not happy and see what he says, then if need be contact consumer affairs and see where you stand..

if it was damaged while in his yard the dealers insurance would have covered him for the cars damage...but it could have been deemed as repairable?

if there is nothing you can do legally i would sell it off, ba's suffer from rust pretty easily so after being for a swim it will probably start rusting within a few years, if it hasnt started already?
