Ive got a pionner deck, three way pioneers speakers for the rear (ts-e1695), pioneer bullet sub, and a pionner GM-X624 amp. The amp is a four channel amp, but ive just bridged it and am using that for the sub on its own. Not the best set up, but it works. The rear speakers just run straight off of the deck, as do the fronts. I copied a friends box to mount the sub in, and while it sounds good, its a little impractical, so in the next week ill be fitting one in between the shock towers. Got my 16mm mdf all ready to go. So far, besides time, the whole lot has cost me 250 dollars! Speakers came brand new for 250 dollars, and picked the rest up for free from my brother. His commodore decided to leak, so ruined the first sub box i made up for him and the amp was in danger too! And he replaced his head unit with about an 800 dollar one, so i scored the old head unit too! I might take some pics, but its a plain mdf box for the time being. Give me a few weeks and i might have something better!

it wouldn't be too bad. so long as u can fit it in and make a with optimal volume for ur speaker. if its too small then ur not getting full force of the sub. other then that then it should be fine. besides the exclusion of the spare tyre.

I used to have mine rear loaded in a box and moved the sub to the spare tyre well. The sound was pretty much the same...

The wiring is a bit of a mess, but you don't see that. There was also a fair bit of stuff in my boot you'll have to excuse, but there's twin 10" and a 1F CAP, the other amp is powering the 6*9's which I still have to put into spacers. But this's what I got...

tell me about it, I've got spacers to put them into the parcel shelf, all I need now is time :p
But yeah, I want them to look as stock and un obtrusive in the parcel shelf as possible, sounds great though.

If you want them to look stock you could always put in some 6" splits. You can get good component splits now (MB Quart and the like) that have the tweeter mounted above the cone making them look like a two way speaker.

It's not like you need the 6 x 9's for bass (not with two tens anyway!).
