Firstly stick a tarp or something over a window.

Check the window regulator see if its in good nick.

Check power window fuses and relays, try the switch and listen at the door to see if there is any sound when the switch is activated

If the door makes a sound when trying to go up then it is the plastics cogs in the regulator that have stripped.
New one from ford $275
Buy new not SH because they are usually stuffed from the wreckers.

If no sound in door when going up then it is a faulty switch.
Dismantle and clean with WD40

I had a similar problem on my car on the back window. Went down ok, wouldn't go up, it also made a noise when I tried the switch. The auto sparky told me it was the motor so I ended up relacing the motor and reg together. Its a 2nd handy that cost me $40 and it works sweet. :D

Just querious, i have the same problem and it seems as thought the sticking between the plastic and the window has given. I tried to some polyeurithine stuff that auto one suggest but it does not work......left it over night and then tried to get the window down and the sticking gave way.

any ideas
