Hi folks,
I've been offered a BF dual zone fairmont ICC and BEM for an great price. But my XR6 interior is poverty pack and single zone, (I think). Can I put the dual zone unit in with the BF BEM and still have a working air con? What would be needed to either trick the ICC into thinking its in a dual zone car or actually convert to dual zone? Any help would be much muchly appreciated before I hand over money for this thing. Oh, and if it helps, I can get the HIM module as well.. so a matched set.. ICC, BEM, HIM and will I need the passenger mirror? (read something about a temp sensor in it) I don't care if it is fully functional initially.. just want a radio, manual air con for now and the color screen for now. not sure what I need to get to achieve this.. the guy has the whole fairmont there, so I can grab what I need. regards Frank |

I have a mongoose cable now and I've used putty to change my him to auto.. ICC is in and recoded. I'm collecting the bits needed to change the rest to dual zone too. Cheers Frank |

Hey Guys, Im not right into the electrical side of this stuff... My icc Came with my bcm, ecu, keys, ignition barrel. So after conversion from Bf MKII XL 190kw N/A Barra $spda to 270T Barra 6spd M, the Ute starts and runs fairly well but the body electrics are completely messed up... it thinks its a dual zone sedan and none of the AC controls respond also mirrors and wipers work poorly... should I rewire the dash? and or can I change the ICC to single zone Ute cost effectively?

IF your BF was an XL it's pretty unlikely to be dual zone. sounds like your HIM is trying to talk single zone to a dual zone ICC/BEM. Read {DESCRIPTION} There is a section talking about using a ODB2 adaptor to convert the HIM from single to dual. I used a 4 dollar bluetooth ODB2 reader from ebay and an android phone.. it worked great. |
