is it a smartlock one?
If so you sit in the car with the doors closer turn the key to the acc or on(i cant remember) position and push the rear demister button 3 times (on off On) in 5 seconds. The locks will go up and down, press the button on one of yoru keypads, locks will go up and down, press the button on the other one and it will go up and down again Turn the key off and your done! if you stuff it up you have to open the door again and turn the key off, shut teh door turn it to the on or acc

just put the old car through the learning process without programming a new remote.
otherwise just learn it to the new car and that will erase memory of the old car.

I replaced the stock head unit in my old NF with an MP3 player and the programming of the new remote still worked successfully.

The keypads don't get (re)programmed - the Smartlock module / BEM learns the keypads. You can use the same keypad on multiple cars...

so are you saying if you have a second hand remote and programme it to another car it will still work on the old car?
