Well, I had a look at MiniSmurf's new ED today to see why the rear doors won't lock with the remote. I changed the little lever on the both back door locks to see if that would make a difference but, it didn't :(

The front doors will lock with the remote and the back doors DO lock individually with the snipper button but there is NO sound what so ever coming from the rear doors when pressing the button on the remote. I tried different remotes that I have here and nothing there, checked fuses and they are ALL hunky dorey.

To me it doesn't appear likely that BOTH actuators could stuff up at the same time, they didn't even do that when the cars were new. Any insights would be nice before I have to take the bloody door trims off

either the actuators are dead?
or maybe the door trims have been off and the actuators have been disconected due to a failt in the actuators?

i would check if there is power getting to the rear doors or if the rear door looms are actually plugged in?
it does sound strange that both rear doors are not locking or unlocking

So do the rear actuators make that groaning noise when you operate their snipper button ??
What happens when you operate the front door snippers ??

The back ones make no sound what so ever and the fronts work perfectly and lock together.
Like Troyman said, I will have to remove the door trims and see :( bugger

There are a couple of simple things you can test before pulling the rear door cards.
But if that's what you want to do. . . .
