Quote: Please Note : If you are one of the Lucky Buggers whom has a Manual Transmision, and dont know WTF I am talking about, then check the Bulb Holder and Bulb used for the Rear Mount Stop Light, as this also, is EXACTLY the same as the Auto Transmission Bulb and Holder.
I was reading a technical document about adding floor lamps to a low end falcon, but I am slighty confused by part of it. Could someone explain what is meant by 'Rear Mount Stop Light'? Muchly appreciated.

'Rear Mount Stop Light' = the brake light mounted on the rear windscreen.
You can ignore that bit of the doc anyway as the bulb holder for rear mount stop light is not the correct size (too big).

In that case, what is the right bulb holder?

Use a couple of autoquadrant bulbs and the holders for the footwell lights.
The high mount stop light holder is slightly larger than the autoquad/footwell bulb holder - I doubt they'll fit in the cutouts under the dash. The high mount stop bulbs are rated at 21watts and are larger, where for the footwells they are usually 3watt/5watt.

Where would I be able to buy these, and what exactly would I have to ask for? I'm not sure what you mean.

Meaning the bulb that lights up the lettering on an automatic shifter.
Best place is the wreckers.
