hey all
just wondering, I have 2 x 10" subs running, and during alot of songs with bass, my rear view mirror tends 2 vibrate its way downwards and about 10 seconds into song i end up looking at my own crotch instead of behind me. Does anyone know a way I can stop it moving when the bass hits?? Its kind of annoying cause I cant really see behind me at all except if I hold the mirror there.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated

cheers

Turn the bass down or use your side mirrors!

You could try some super glue in the mirror's ball joint, though you will lose the ablity to adjust it.

Thats a pain in the a*** ay, my car used to do that over bumps, I've got no idea if this would work, but just my thaught, what if you were to sound deaden the boot and parcel shelf and that, it would stop the surroundings from vibrating which may in turn tame the rest of the vibrating?? As I said, I've got no idea if that would do anything at all to stop your problem, but yea, my thaught.

You need to replace the mirror. the metal that goes around the ball joint where the mirror adjusts is loose, allowing the flex.
I Had the same issue with my EF when I put in the new system (Kicker L7, 1000wRMS). I have replaced the mirror, and the mirror does not even vibrate, let alone fall down 8-)

you could super glue it in position AKA bush mechanics style or simply replace the mirror with a newer one.. had the SUBS pumping in my car 2 years ago and "out of nowhere" the screws fell out of the mirror and the mirror fell on my hand that was resting on the top of the auto gear knob...
