Ok, I must be doing something wrong but I have tried and tried without success..
I removed all my power window regs and glass to try and replace my bailey channels on my ED with EF/EL bailey channels..After seeing that the front glass was a tight fit (due to the EF/EL channels) I simply sourced the best EB/ED rubbers I could find..Now, I easily re assembled the front doors without a problem..My issue is with the rear windows..I am trying to figure out the procedure for installation is as I have tried insatlling the glass first then rubber but the glass won't go into the rubber..I have tried installing the rubber first but glass won't fit into the rubber.. I am hoping somone can tell me the proper way to to this..Thanks in advance.. |

Hmmmm. From memory, I recall I installed the rubbers first, then undid the bottom bolts of the bailey runners so they could move. Then I slid the glass down into the door, but rotated so one corner went in first, and then once in the door turned to the correct orientation. Then I attached the window to the winder mechanism, wound the window up, and then bolted the bailey runners back into place.
Hope that helps. BenJ

Thanks mate.. I will give that a shot.. I remember when I tried to insert the glass with the rubber in place I could only get one side of the glass into the rubber, even when turned on it's side..The glass being curved doesn't help..Thanks again,

Also make sure you have removed the outer weather strip that runs along the outside of the door.
Gives more room. BenJ
