Hi got a AU XR8 ute and wanting to reline the roof black.
I have pulled the roof lining out and thought maybe i can do this myself ? If i went to spot light and brought some thin material and some glue,stuff you spray ? i could cut to size and stick it on ,wrap around edges to the back ? any advice be good ? cheers

yes i have advice ....i have helped do this before.....make sure that u use the original roof board the reline your roof ....make sure u use a competant wood glue or fast stick adhesive .... this is not in fact an easy thing to do in most cases of replacing the rooflining you will get sag.... but if you do it properly leaving no unstuck bits of fabric it should turn out alright....bek

Yea its in AU UTE so not much to do.went to spot light and not 100% sure what fabric i should use,you want something thin so moulds in over ridges ?

Yea its in AU UTE so not much to do.went to spot light and not 100% sure what fabric i should use,you want something thin so moulds in over ridges ?[/quote] best to go to a car trimmer and get same or similar material,as its foam backed,and up the roll only need 1-1.5 mtrs,the spray glue sticks to the foam,work a small area and work out wrinkles,clean the card board of all foam and any glue,any lumps will show,take your time
