My alarm has died, well i think my key had died, and its going to cost me 100 bucks to get it fixed, and i think its not worth it as im selling the car anyway, and i just want to be able to start it.
i have been looking hard at it, and im not sure about how i should go about removing it, or is there a special way of dis arming it? |

Cut all the wires off.
There are 2 that run from the ignition to the starter motor. You have to join these 2 together. Just tape the rest up so they dont touch anything. Do you have a key for the siren under the bonet. By using this key you can also disarm the system without cutting any wires. |

Most mongoose alarms are a damn sight better than the rubbish you buy from most discount places, therefore will most likely have all black wiring and 3 point immobilisation.
If it is the case, trace where it immobilises to and rejoin the appropriate wiring or get a professional auto elec to do it. Odds are if you can't figure it out, it will cost MUCH more than the $100 to replace the fob. |

yeah its all black wiring, and its 3 point. its a b**ch, its got black wires going, everywhere, dummy engine cut wires, wires to the coil, i got lost when i started tracing it. i think it might be best to take the car and get a new key made cos at the end of the day i will still have my alarm. as for the key with the siren i didnt get one when i bought the car, i only got 1 set of keys aswell, which i thought was dodgy.
