its easy as man - i assume you mean the dash surround? there are a series of screws - 3 above the cluster, 1 on either side of the steering column, and a few around the radio surround. unscrew all of those, drop the steering column, and you should be able to angle it out. then you will need to disconnect the wires for the buttons (eg boot/fuel flap/etc) and there ya go! takes all of about 5mins! you should thn find the 4 screws holding the cluster in...

You need to get to the back of the instrument cluster?
Pretty simple. Remove the front dash panel (screws near ashtray and head unit, screws near fuel cap release and one near central locking button on dash, also 3 screws above instrument cluster). Held in by 3 clips near the clock/trip comuter - bit of gentle force required. Then just remove all the screws surrounding the cluster. It comes out as one big unit including the clear plastic panel. There are 2 looms connected, one either side of steering wheel. I imagine this is what you're trying to access for the trip comp data line.....

Thanks for the help.
Took about an hour from taking out the first screw, installing the TC and then putting the last screw in. Thanks. |
